"Our Best Ones" are the backbone of the challenge.Without the great network of helpers and supporters FLL wouldn´t be possible. We would like to introduce some of "Our Best Ones" ever 14 days, in order to let more people know who is helping in the background to carry out a successful competition.

Denise Pallerberg
Paderborn/ North Rhine-Westphalia (D)

While studying at the University of Paderborn, she had already dealt with the usage of LEGO Mindstorms robots in teaching. Her second state examination thesis then treated a specific series of lessons with the RCX teaching in computer science for German secondary classes. At Wittekind-Gymnasium Miss Pallerberg had the opportunity to purchase the new NXT models and use them in computer science education (LEGO software in grade 8 and Java (leJos) in higher grade). In addition, she attended the Teacher Training for Roberta. At Wittekind-Gymnasium the Roberta courses are offered as study courses for grades 5 and 6.
In her research for the second state examination, Ms Pallerberg already became aware of FLL and had always   planned to participate in this competitionAfter the first 8 graders had worked with the LEGO Mindstorms models in the computer science courses successfully, she set up the first team "The Great Digidies" and 2009 for the first time participated in the competition in Paderborn. So far, Ms Pallerberg could always inspire new students for the competition, so every year she had a team mix of "old hands" and "spring chickens", which regularly meets in form of a joint venture. In addition to FLL, Ms Pallerberg and her team already participated  at "Jugend foscht" and at the World Robot Olympiad.
