Good start of registration for FLL “Senior Solutions”

Since March 1st there are 124 teams registered in different regions. In Göppingen (D) the registration is already closed. Teams can register for 61 Central European FLL Regions until Sept 21st 2012 online.

Soundtrack for FLL Mission video wanted

Again this year we are looking for musicians that would like to compose a soundtrack for the new FLL Mission Video "Senior Solutions" (see comparable video from last year on You Tube). Let us know asap if you have a instrumental composition in your repertory or if you come up with something musically according the challenge topic “Senior Solutions”. There will be a voting among our facebook fans in July to find the new mission video soundtrack.
German team in semi finals for FLL Global Innovation Award

The team SAP RobonovaXL from Kraichtal (D) did not only do well at the FLL Final Central Europe but there research idea made it to the semi finals of Global Innovation Award. A jury of experts will now select 3 finalists. We keep our fingers crossed!
FLL OEC 2012 is coming closer and closer
For the FLL Open European Championship (OEC) there are already 59 Teams from more than 30 countries registered by now. We are currently getting into the „hot“ stadium of organization and we are happy about every helping hand we can get. Many thanks to everyone already committed!

We are looking forward to welcoming teams, volunteers and guests from June 6th to 9th 2012 in Congress Center Rosengarten in Mannheim (D). Spectators are welcome during the tournament – the entrance is free. See more details online www.fllopen.de.

Partnering school for cross-country project wanted

A polish school (Professor–Franciszek–Leja Comprehensive School) is looking for a partner school or institution from another European country to apply for a two year lasting EU project. Goal will be a joint robotics project (Basis Lego Mindstorms) as well as the exchange of experience between schools in the organization of teaching and school management. German schools can apply for award

Until June 1st 2012 schools from all over Germany with focus on general education can apply as a „Starke Schule” (lit. strong school) for the biggest school challenge of the country. Awarded will be schools with focus on a succeeding transition between school and profession and that support their students in an extraordinary manner.
